Stranded in Paradise

Way too long it took me to again update my blog - even though I've seen paradise.

After you have been on those small and beautiful islands in the middle of the Indian ocean, there is no other beach you will every be able to compare it to.And the fun part about it; there is an island for everything. The Maldives offer an airport island, resort islands, islands for the locals, a garbage incineration island, picknick islands, fishing islands and so on. And Meeru was for me the most beautiful of them all...

Change is in the air!

"All changes are preceded by chaos." (Deepak Chopra)

If you consider this, it's no wonder that you don't see the wood for the trees. But after weeks of doubting, pondering and speculating the one moment has finally come, the moment I started to realize and I knew into which direction I want to develop and where I want to place my emphasis. This is the point when everything falls into place. And since "a goal without a plan is just a wish" I started with my first steps on research, classes, planning and schedules.
Let this new phase of my life begin with the words of a catchy tune:  "... suddenly I see, this is what I wanna be...." (I hope you all know the song!)

Greece again!!!!! Third stop: Island hopping

What is a nice trip without at least some island hopping?

There are so many islands close to Athens, that it would feel such a waste not to jump at this oportunity.

One day - three islands, let the hopping begin!

A few hours on Aegina, Poros and Hydra with picturesque harbours, antique monuments, small cafés and the smell of the sea.... What a wonderful day!!

Greece again!!!!! Second stop: Cape Sounion

To escape the city for a few hours, the trip to Cape Sounion was the perfect opportunity to combine a historical monument with the beautiful seaside landscape.

Greece again!!!!! First stop: Athens

For some reason, Greece captivated me and I keep coming back. This time, it was time to visit the capital. Athens is a city with a big history and numerous archiological sites.

And apart from the sightseeing there was also time to comb through a flee market and some second hand shops for some LPs and an old camera.

And yet another job in Cyprus

Another assignement - another stay in Cyprus. And with that another opportunity to leave the cold behind and to stock on some sun. Only five days but still enough time for good Greek food (that I was missing badly), relaxing night walks and a few hours at the beach.
