On the trail of the Minoan high culture...

Today's lunch break adventure was me exploring the ancient Minoan cemetery in Armeni. 

Built 1400 B.C. the tombs were quite impressive and spooky at the same time. 

Not having seen anything like that before, I walked into the graveyard without a clue what to expect and found myself in the middle of small tunnels all leading up to different tomb caves. 

Some too small to enter, a few ones quite big, I felt veneration for this place during every step I made. 

It was a certain feeling of respect mixed with a little fear when entering the small tomb caves as you never really know what to expect.....
