My first working days...

First days are always exciting. A lack of sleep due to all the preparations the night before, making sure I had all my forms, brochures, lists and technical equipment. And when the alarm rings way too early just to make sure there is enough time to find the right way to the first hotel, the first adrenaline rush is inevitable. But when you are in your car and you see the beauty that surrounds you, all the stress and bustle fade into the background. During this early part of the season there are also not that many guests yet, so I had the time to start slowly.  Nevertheless, the first little panic attack came right after I had a nice breakfast and a short talk with two regulars: I somehow managed to take the wrong way from the first hotel to the second, got lost in all the one-way streets and needed 30 min for a max. 10 min drive. But I arrived on time and also had my first welcome meeting. In fact it was just 3 guests but I at least had the chance to practice it. And today, on my second working day, I already sold two tickets for our most expensive day trip so it's going quite well. The orientation within the city will come with time I suppose (and hope)....

As I started working on easter sunday, I was invited by my nice Austrian colleague in one of her hotels where they had a big easter BBQ. The greek take the "Easter lamb" literally and so everywhere you go, you can see them grilling lambs. Everything was really delicious and we had a great time eating, chatting and watching people dance the traditional dances.
