Yesterday, we used our day off for a little road trip to Akrotiri and Chania. Listening and singing to songs on the local radio, we started with the peninsula Akrotiri where we fist visited the monestary Agia Triada of Tzangarolon. Walking through that monestary, I had a little Spain flashback cause the patio looked a little bit like the Andalusian Alcazabas.
After that we took the adventurous road to the monestary of Gouvernetou which was closed and of course a blind alley so we had to go all the way back from where we started. We did see some goats next to the road however and it was an interesting way through the mountains to drive.
Our next stop was at the beach of Stavros but since it started raining a little bit, we cut our stay short and went on to Chania where we had an insane afternoon of Shopping! Stradivarius, Zara, Bershka, Pull and Bear as well as numerous shoe stores later, we then went to Jumbo to buy some stuff for our appartments.
To close the day, we went to a pizzeria close to where we live and had some wine and Raki with the super delicious pizza. There we also found a funny typo in the menu offering a pizza with pain-apples.... :)
*haaaaahhahahaha* hilarious!!! So for me, with my habit of changing the dishes, it would be "one hawai pizza, without the pain, please" :D
